WordPress Care Plans

WordPress care plans that look after your website every month, so you don’t have to.

Updates piling up, a plugin that broke something, a site you’d rather not think about. A WordPress care plan hands all of that to us. We keep your site updated, backed up, secure and quick, check it every month and tell you in plain English what we did.

Why it matters

A WordPress website needs looking after, not just building.

WordPress runs on plugins and themes that update all the time, usually to close security gaps. Leave them, and sooner or later something breaks, slows down or lets in someone who shouldn’t be there. Most owners only find out when a customer tells them the contact form stopped working.

WordPress website maintenance is the unglamorous work that stops that happening: updates applied carefully, backups that are actually checked and someone keeping an eye on the site so you don’t have to. If your site is already slow, we can speed it up first, then keep it that way.

What’s included

What a WordPress care plan covers, every month.

01

Updates, applied carefully

WordPress, plugin and theme updates, applied and then checked, so an update never quietly breaks a page or a form.

02

Security and malware checks

A security scan and a malware check every month, so problems are caught early rather than found by a visitor.

03

Backups you can rely on

Backups are checked, not just switched on, so if something does go wrong there is a recent copy to go back to.

04

Uptime and security certificate monitoring

Your site, and the certificate behind the padlock in the address bar, are checked every minute. If the site goes down, we hear about it, rather than you hearing about it from a customer.

Forms, speed and small changes

Contact forms tested and speed checked every month. Small content changes are made when you need them, such as a new photo or updated opening hours.

What we updated, what we checked, anything we found and anything we’d suggest next. No jargon.

Already have a website?

A care plan keeps a working site working. If yours is slow today, WordPress speed optimisation comes first. If it lives on Wix or Squarespace, or with a developer who has gone quiet, we move it to WordPress and look after it from there. Starting from scratch? That’s website design.

Proof

Good work is worth keeping good.

Corinne Joy Jewellery had a sluggish site until a full technical overhaul (image compression, caching, CDN, minification and PHP updates). Birdie Bays Golf Studio was rebuilt on WordPress with a clear booking and enquiry path. Keeping results like these is what a care plan is for.

“Matt has been awesome for our business (Birdie Bays Golf Studio). Makes every step of the process straightforward and will bring real value to our business. Can’t recommend him enough!”

How it works

From a first check to a site you never have to think about.

  • 01

    A first check

We look over the site: what it runs on, what needs updating, how the backups work and anything to put right before the monthly care starts.

  • 02

    We take it on

Updates, backups, security checks and monitoring move to us. The site, the domain and the logins stay yours.

  • 03

    Every month

We work through the checklist, make any small changes you’ve asked for and send you a plain-English report.

  • 04

    If something goes wrong

Monitoring usually tells us first. We look at it, put it right and tell you what happened.

FAQs

Common questions about WordPress care plans.

What’s included in a WordPress care plan?+
WordPress, plugin and theme updates, a monthly security scan and malware check, backup checks, uptime and security certificate monitoring every minute, form and speed checks, small content changes and a monthly report in plain English.
Why does a WordPress website need maintenance?+
Because WordPress, its plugins and its theme all update often, usually to fix security problems. Skipped updates pile up, and the longer they wait the more likely one of them breaks something when it finally goes in. Regular maintenance keeps the site secure, working and quick.
How often are updates and backups checked?+
Every month, as part of the plan. The site itself and its security certificate are checked every minute, so if it goes down we know about it.
What happens if something breaks on my site?+
Monitoring usually tells us before you notice. We look at it, put it right and tell you what happened and why. If something has already gone wrong before you join, get in touch and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.
Do you offer website maintenance packages for sites you didn’t build?+
Yes. We look after WordPress sites we didn’t build as well as the ones we did. It starts with a first check, so we know what the site runs on and what needs putting right before the monthly care begins.
Do I need WordPress support if my site seems fine?+
Usually, yes. A site can look fine while updates pile up underneath it, a backup has quietly stopped working or a form has stopped sending. Most of what a care plan catches is invisible until the day it isn’t.
